An early wax type pepper. Larger than the standard type, this plant produces good yileds of 8 in long by 2 in wide, tapered fruits which mature from greenish yellow to red approximately 65 days after transplanting. These vigorous plants are medium to large, upright and spreading. The waxy yellow fruits have a sweet but mild flavour.

Dwarf cultivar. Plant growth habit is dwarf, the stem length before branching is around 50 mm, the leaves are medium to long and the length/width ratio is 2.8, the flowering is fasciculate type. The flower colour is white and they start to appear continually after 5-6 weeks. The fruit is erect and the size is smallish at 4 cm long and length/diameter ratio is 1.8 and mature after 8-9 weeks. The flesh is thick. The heat value is around 30,000 SHU.

BEAVER DAM

This Hungarian heirloom pepper was brought to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin USA by the Joe Hussli family in 1929. These 5in x 2.5in tapered peppers initially grow erect on the plant before gravity takes in course. they are crunchy in texture and mildly hot to taste, with excellent flavor. The peppers start bright green before maturing to deep red in approx 80 days. They are great when paired with tomatillos in a salsa.
